"Happiness should be the natural state and unhappiness an interruption, just as a cold or a headache are interruptions in your normal state of health."  Edward de Bono

happiness can be taught

We can all learn practical skills that will make us happier in our lives. Whether that's learning how to make time for the little pleasures in life - or working out what we really want to contribute to the world. But if we haven't had the time, and the guidance, to help us develop those skills, happiness can slip through our fingers.

"I have never done anything like that before and it was great fun. You have a lovely, warm and welcoming style which makes people feel at ease"

I teach people how to do seven things that make the difference to what happiness-researcher Mattheiu Ricard calls "enduring happiness" - that deep sense that underneath any other ups and downs, you are living a life that makes you happy.

1. LAUGH MORE! More deeply, more easily, more often.

2. Become more connected to the people around you.

3. Identify your passions - and prioritise them.

4. Take time to savour your pleasures.

5. Appreciate your past.

6. Feel optimistic about your future.

7. Leave the world better than you found it.

Once you've discovered what a difference laughter makes, you'll want to find out how to sharpen up the rest of these skills too. Why not book a place on the Laughter, Joy and Happiness course I'm running on June 5th - or contact me for a bespoke version of my workshops OPTIMISTIC THINKING and HAPPINESS MATTERS.
