put happiness first
it's too important to be left to chance
"laughter is the sun that drives winter from the human face" - Victor Hugo
happiness can be taught
We can all learn practical skills that will make us happier in our lives. Whether that's learning how to make time for the little pleasures in life - or working out what we really want to contribute to the world. But if we haven't had the time, and the guidance, to help us develop those skills, happiness can slip through our fingers.
"I have never done anything like that before and it was great fun. You have a lovely, warm and welcoming style which makes people feel at ease"
I teach people how to do seven things that make the difference to living a life with what happiness-researcher Mattheiu Ricard calls "enduring happiness" - that deep sense that underneath any other ups and downs, you are happy being who you are and living the life you have.
1.LAUGH MORE! More deeply, more easily, more often.
2.Become more connected to the people around you.
3. Identify your passions - and prioritise them.
4. Take time to savour what you are doing.
5. Think well: appreciate your past and feel optimistic about your future.
6. Leave the world better than you found it.
7. Give yourself plenty of treats.
Check out the calendar to see if I'm running an event near you - or come to one of the regular laughter workshops that I run in Milton Keynes or Cambridge.
